[2025-10] Hayoon's (15) Review Video

Updated: Jan 30

Q: How do you feel about returning to Korea?

A: I'm a bit sad. It's sad to say goodbye to my family here while I want to go back to Korea. When I'm a bit older, I want to study abroad in Canada. I really think this is the best place. It was a little challenging being together all day, and we had small disagreements sometimes, but through that, we became really close. Having someone my age helped my English improve a lot as well.

Q: How was life with your homestay family?

A: My host mom was so kind. And the eldest sister took really good care of me. The middle sister also took care of me really well when needed. I had a good time.

Q: Do you think your English has improved?

A: Well, I can understand about 90% of what I hear now. My listening improved naturally because I was surrounded by English all day. Also, I kept talking with the middle sister before bed, and the conversations with her helped my English improved, too. I can handle everyday conversations in English now, though debates and things like that are still challenge.

Q: Any final words?

A: Your English can improve a lot in just three months. It might be challenging at first few days, but as you settle in, it gets fun, so don't get stressed too much. Ask as many questions as you can and don't stay alone in your room.
